Found at Far East Plaza, then spent some time convincing myself that I didn't waste 18 bucks. Quite nice lah :) I wore it to ya fellowship in the evening.
Can't remember the name of the cap the shopkeeper told me, but it's some sort of newsboy cap I'm sure. Think I might decorate it if I'm in the mood.
I hereby restrict all unnesessary spending (incl. lunches, dinners, random manga/anime merch, bubble tea, clothes, acessories etc) for 2 weeks.

I went for a walk-in interview today at Tanjong Pagar. I may get a job yay~ Exhibition staff sounds good.
After that I went far, far from where I live to run an errand. Paying for preorder yeah. I hope shopkeepers(online ones) don't all have the same attitude as the one I am buying from. Because this one is in one word, spoilt. If it was a rl shopfront it would have gotten scoldings and indignant looks.
Yep day tripping yeah. Far from where I live.
Tomorrow, or if you wish later this morning, I will be going for law camp.

Yep Gintama gashapon figurines! Now if I could just get Gintoki I would have a Joi trio XD And would love to have the Shinsengumi join in the fray.
Tsktsktsk I feel so overindulgent. As if I am made out of money.
The background of the photos is the back cover of the book "Shinsengumi: The Shogun's Last Samurai Corps" by Romulus Hillsborough. It is very interesting, especially since I am familiar with so many of the historical figures from their adaptations in Japanese popular culture. The book is surprisingly thin, or perhaps just not too hard to digest as with some other historical non-fiction, and I am finishing already.
Surprisingly Kondou Isami in real life does bear resemblence to Kondo Isao from Gintama. Unfortunately Hijikata Toshizou doesn't look too much like our dear Toshi |X Rather abiiiiiiiiit more like in Peacemaker Kurogane perhaps? Btw nice statue.
HETALIA!!!!!! PASUUUUUTAAAAAAA~
I watched 19 epi of Hetalia Axis Power today! Ok so they were around 5 minutes each...The concept here is that each country is portrayed as a character, and is set during the World Wars or before. It's not your History textbook recreation, more like a gagfest with random trivia. Stereotypes too (though they may not be 'right'?) Very random, sometimes very VERY lame. But at 5 mins it really made me laugh and giggle uncontrollably.
Italy & Germany ROFL WAI I have a soft spot for Roman Empire and China(he randomly spews Mandarin phrases, takes abit of processing for us Mandarin speakers unfortunately) Hungary is so sweet and pretty ^^ Canada has a bear XD Russia is creepy...
You know I couldn't take advantage of the Kino discount season to get the manga. The membership card was expired by ONE DAY. And to think I went all the way to Kino!!!! T^T
I was quite curious about it, having seen fanart, and wanted to grab a copy to take a look. Now after watching the anime I REALLY want to get the manga - hope it doesn't run out of stock before the free-for-all 20% discount grrrrrr.
Anyway the title itself is a magnet for sweeeeet controversy.

OH WHY DID I HAVE TO MAKE IT PARQUET FLOORING. I WILL BE THE DEATH OF ME.
Not too long ago when I was playing Pokemon Emerald(defeat elite four, Champion liao) and chatting with kw about Gintama n other manga I was feel quite ok leh. Then I was reminded that I need to withdraw my UCAS application.
On the Track site(where you check the status of your apps), I clicked through a series of links in red to irrevocably withdraw my application to UK uni. So I did, reading obediently through things like how they will not refund (x2, in bold), and that once I click that, I am logged out and cannot(in bold) sign into Track anymore. That sort of thing.
Never was pulling out of a dream this banal. Efficient in under 5 minutes too.
Gah this sucks.
I still have things to settle and emails to reply, and also a camp to go to next week. About camp: you know if you keep telling yourself that It Will Be Great and Fun and all the positive stuff it will actually infect you mood? Scientifically-proven somewhere. I contrast my feeling with one of a church friend who can't make the 3-day event, and I feel better already, thinking about why it can't be missed.
I know I'm going to love the 3 days, dammit XD

Not too long ago when I was playing Pokemon Emerald(defeat elite four, Champion liao) and chatting with kw about Gintama n other manga I was feel quite ok leh. Then I was reminded that I need to withdraw my UCAS application.

Random thought of the day:
My wish is that I will not become like some of the adults I know. It scares me to think that possibly one day I will look at myself and be startled to see this negative trait from xxxx or that bad attitude from xxxx. One time I did see one of that negativity on myself and went trying to shake it off. Maybe if I don't forget to self-reflect and be not blinded by the world, or by age, I will stave off the worst of it.
Horrors if I am seriously infected already.

I went to Kinokuniya on Monday. They had a 2 day discount on Sun-Mon, open to all. I bought the latest 2 volumes of Fullmetal Alchemist, and IT'S SO ADDICTIVE. I went online and read up to the latest scans I could find. The whole series is at the beginning of its end...can't help but feel abit of sadness at that. To think of it I've been following the series for so many years now. Lots of emotional investment, and its paying off while I read the characters' battles and struggles. Oh and Van Hohenheim is now one of my favourite characters :)
If you were wondering what happened to my new layout: still work in progress (WIP) hahahahah
I will be starting to paint the canvas shoes I bought soon. Today I drew a design I wanted on the shoes, only to find that at my level of skillz I won't be able to do it nicely. See! even sketching it to my satisfaction is not easy for me!! I drew a ninja. I think that guy will reappear in my doodles soon. In the evening I played with acrylic paints. The picture that resulted drew non-constructive criticism from my sister. Comments like "It's weird" doesn't help at all =_=
Last Saturday I went with Eejia to the NUS Science faculty open house, then later went to the Law tea session, arriving around one and a half hour early. I don't regret my decision to take law, but I really have to wonder how well I fit into the place. Not in terms of who/how many people I know, but in how the people are in general. It feels like a challenge looming ahead, but that is not necessarily a bad thing ;)
Yup that's it. I wanted to write more but I'm more of in the reading/drawing mode now lol. And my mom called once to tell me to go to bed, maybe an hour ago when I was chatting to KW.

Thanks Ju Yin for the birthday present! Kuroshitsuji(黒執事) is not bad lehs. Interesting so far, though the first volume is quite monster-of-the-week type(no real monsters here except for one...) And thanks to Ju Yin I have one more notebook wo bu she de yong :) Looks like we're adding more and more things to our annual manga book birthday gift tradition...

I feel sorry for the people who slog and sweat in the mascot suits, enclosed top to toe in a furry suit, supposedly a representation of some cute animal/thing. He walks here and there escorted by helpers whose job is to see that he doesn't fall - the furry suit severely limits the wearer's vision.
This afternooon my mother and I walked past one such mascot. I think it was Mindchamp's dolphin. We were walking and talking, around 4 steps away from meeting head to head with the grey furry. I asked good naturedly, "那是什么?"
My mom replied,
"怪物"
